That's a man playing god - a mother deciding when their child dies. That's wrong. Same as murder. One human deciding when another human dies. That's why people use the phrase "he's playing God" when talking about someone who kills people that he thinks don't deserve to live. God made us - He can destroy His creation whenever he wants.
