Please don't listen to Jim Puplava. He is completely wrong on the timing of oil and gold, and his many other predictions. The fact that OPEC is willing to trade oil at $35 USD range suggests that USD is still regard as the world currency in trade settlement at least for a long while. All three of the people have been in the hyperinflation camp for years. They all thought that housing was a bubble that would pop and then the government would print money and ruin the currency to save the broader economy. Despite their knowledge of the situation, Peter and Jim have not given the best financial advice for the past few years. Gold miners and other stocks they have recommended have been killed lately. I disagree....the stress on trying to continue growth and stability to 1.4 billion people is not sustainable. Right now...less that 10% of China's working class are considered middle class...the structure of thier ecoomy is such that anything below 10% growth will exponentially fail to provide growth or improve the country as a whole. Also, a serious recession would cripple China to the point of collapse. Reduced trade with Europe and America will be catastrophic...this video is correct.

Again, ignoring the key role of sound money and productive economy in this argument is native. There are many countries on this planet with abundant natural resources per capita (eg, Zimbabwe, Saudi Arabia, South Africa). Yet their societies are under tremendous societal stresses because they have lost or have not developed the production to back up their currencies. Sound money, production, technologies are keys to exploit and ration limited resources for insatiable human demand.
