More Dealing With Panic

DEALING WITH PANIC ATTACKS - part 2

Continuing on from the previous post - today is part 2

If you daily voluntarily seek to have a panic attack, you cannot have one.

Try in this very moment to have a panic attack and I will guarantee you cannot. You may not realize it but you have always decided to panic. You make the choice by saying this is beyond my control whether it be consciously or sub-consciously.

Another way to appreciate this is to imagine having a panic attack as like standing on a cliff’s edge. The anxiety seemingly pushes you closer to falling over the edge. To be rid of the fear you must metaphorically jump. You must jump off the cliff edge and into the anxiety and fear and all the things that you fear most.

Learning from others

Today I thought it would help to question about learning from others.

Why you ask me and I would reply that our personal growth and self-improvement is a time of constant learning.

Self knowledge, to be comprehensive, should include awareness of how we are perceived by others.

Could it be that the things we do not know about ourselves by the very things that others know only too well?

Giving…

Giving When it Counts

One of the biggest discoveries that I have discovered on my road of personal growth is that you’ve got to give to get.

Here is a story that highlights the power of giving.

“Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare and serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness.
