“Seeing is Believing?”

“Seeing is Believing?”

…or “I’ll believe it when I see it!”…pretty reasonable things to say sometimes, we need evidence for us to believe that a particular thing is true, right?

That may be the case sometimes, but in the context of reaching our goals it’s the exact opposite of the position we need to take.

As on so many other subjects in the field of personal development, Bob Proctor has something interesting to say about this and how we need to turn this way of thinking on its head if we are to tap into the Law of Attraction and truly reach our potential.

The Law of Compensation

The Law of Compensation

Having posted yesterday’s piece about how to deal with negative thoughts, I came across another article giving a slightly different slant on the same subject from Bob Proctor’s “Insight of the Day”.

I found it quite inspiring – see what you think.

Chris

How to create a Vision Board

How to create a Vision Board

A number of books I have read about the Law of Attraction have spoken about the benefits of Vision Boards, and indeed I made one in a course I attended a while back. But I must confess, I never really took the process very seriously, as I associated it with being back in junior school and making collages.

However, as I see the Law of Attraction having a beneficial effect in my life, I realise that, by manifesting my mental and emotional vision in paper and glue, I can hasten the manifestation into reality.

Having decided to do the visionboard thing ‘properly’, I guess that I attracted to me a piece written by my friend and colleague Ralph, from London. I found it valuable, and I think you may also be inspired by it to get snipping up those old magazines (but with the right, focused intention).

Leadership

Leadership

When you are at work, do you get frustrated because things don’t seem to be happening the way they’re supposed to? You see people milling around but nothing gets accomplished. And in the daily hustle and bustle, do you feel that your goals remain just that – goals. Then maybe its time for you to stand up and do something about it.

Most people are content just to stand around listening for orders. And it isn’t unusual to adopt a follow-the-leader mentality. But maybe, somewhere inside of you, you feel the desire to make things happen – to be the head, not the tail.

Some people believe that great the only great leader is a “born leader”. Yes, it may be true that some people are born with natural leadership talents. However, without practice, without drive, without enthusiasm, and without experience, there can be no true development into effective leadership.

Success in Home Business (even when others don’t support you)

Success in Home Business (even when others don’t support you)

Many people would like to run their own business, and the home business industry is flourishing. In particular, multi-level marketing companies offer the promise of recurring passive income and even great wealth. New ‘independent business owners’ are often excited and highly committed to doing whatever it takes to succeed.

But what happens when others around them are highly skeptical and unsupportive? This happens quite frequently, especially when previous goals have not been realized and the sacrifices made in trying to achieve them have made demands on family life which are perceived as being excessive.

A typical example is where someone has tried various home businesses before and has lost money, despite spending a lot of time in meetings, conference calls, customer presentations etc. A spouse is then unlikely to want to get involved, and may be hostile to the whole enterprise.

The Purpose of Life, Part 3: Solutions to Overcome Obstacles

The Purpose of Life, Part 3: Solutions to Overcome Obstacles

Having identified ‘internal’ issues as the most prevalent and challenging obstacles to achievement of our life purpose, the conversation turned to possible solutions.

Now I have to admit that were rather running out of time by this stage, but in fact this didn’t have much of an adverse effect on the discussion, as it all really comes down to one thing: Taming the ‘jumping monkey’ which is our creative, active but often wild mind.

If we are able to calm our thoughts, we can get much better perspective on the past (which goes a long way to dealing with regret) and also achieve focus for the future (and, as I wrote in my post on “The Power of Now”) the future becomes the present.
