Goals
As I have written in a previous blog post, being clear about goals is very important in setting yourself up for success. Writing them down makes them more real and more likely to come to fruition.
The advice is sometimes given that we should tell as many other people as possible about our goals, partly so that they can ââ?¬Ë?hold us to accountââ?¬â?¢. This can certainly focus the mind and give us more motivation.
But the question arises: At what point in the development of a plan should you share your goals? Not every project will come to fruition, and too much ââ?¬Ë?public failureââ?¬â?¢ is not good for self-esteem. It can also make others skeptical about goals which we may share with them in future, and perhaps resistant if we ask them to participate.

A smile costs nothing, but gives much;
It takes but a moment, but the memory of it usually lasts forever.
None are so rich that can get along without it;
And none so poor but can be made rich by it.
A smile enriches those who receive, without making poor those who give;
It creates sunshine and fosters good will,
and is the best antidote for trouble;
Yet, it cannot be borrowed or stolen, for it is of no value, unless …. it is given away.
If some people are too busy to give you a smile;
Give them one of yours;
For the Universe knows that no one needs a smile so badly
As he or she who have no more smiles left to give.

Law of Clear Vision
While a lot of people of aware of the Law of Attraction and may consider this to be the most important of the Universal Laws I have discovered/rediscovered the Law of Clear Vision. Which states “in order to hit a target, you need to see it clearly”An aide that I find helps me is the discipline of writing something down is the first step toward making it happen and to help me keep focused on the target.
I am interested in any views you would care to share.

Developing Personal Resilience
Last weekend, I attended a day-long personal development
workshop in a meditation and retreat centre down by the
River Cam here in Cambridge.
There were about 20 participants, so the atmosphere was very
different from some of the big-ticket personal development courses
I have attended in the past. The small number of people
made for some good discussions within the group, and I’d like to
tell you a bit about our conversation on the subject of
resilience and dealing with adversity.
Difficult situations affect all of us at various points in our
lives, and for some people they get to crisis point. At these
times, such strong emotions are swirling around that it is often
difficult to be sufficiently in control of ourselves to take the
actions required to best manage the situation. I know from my
own experience that it be really hard to meditate or do
relaxation exercises to ‘calm down’ under such pressure.
