Domestic Violence Effects

The effects of domestic violence have been around since, I reckon, relationships have existed. The type of domestic violence that I am talking about is not purely the physical abuse that one partner imposes/inflicts on another but also the nonphysical or emotional kind.

So what’s this got to do with personal growth, self-help and development you ask?

I believe that as students we need to be aware of this and recognize it and ask ourselves is this affecting my life and studies.

DEALING WITH PANIC ATTACKS

Continuing on from the previous posts - today is the final part

Aromatherapy is often recommended to help in dealing with panic and anxiety. Lavender is recognized as having an especially calming and soothing effect when you smell it. You can find essential oil of lavender at many stores. Keep it handy and take a sniff when you start feeling anxious.

Try putting a few drops of lavender essence oil into some oil (olive or grape seed oil will do) and rub on your body.

Facing the Sun

The Sun

Today I would like to share an observation that I recently read about.

“Optimists see the best in any situation, and the wisdom of this is seen in the effects.

Studies have shown that optimists have a stronger immune system than pessimists and so have a tendency to be healthier.

It is clear that even at the base level of common sense that only those who turn to face the sun are rewarded with sunlit vistas”
