Maintaining a Positive Attitude

As we are cumming to the end of a year and looking forward to a new year many people are using this time to start planning for how they think/want the New Year to go.

From a personal growth view it’s important to factor in the mental place where you are as you undertake this planning.

A positive attitude is essential to a healthy mental wellbeing.

In truth, your attitude wholly affects your entire life.

If you have a pessimistic, negative attitude towards life in general, you’ll rarely, if ever, be able to see good in anything.

Now if you can learn how to shift your thinking to become more positive, great things can happen for you.

The thing that many people have trouble with is learning how to shift towards a more positive way of thinking.

If you’ve lived with a negative thought process your whole life, changing those habits will be challenging for you, but you can do it.

I’m going to share with you some keys to maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Reframing

Every time you have a negative thought, consciously stop and reframe that thought.

Think of what the opposite of that thought would be, then repeat it to yourself several times.

    This is called reframing.

  • Proactivity

Be proactive in your own life.

Nobody can change the way you think, except you.

You hold the power to create a different way of thinking, if you choose to.

You cannot rely on anybody else to help you change.

You have to do it for yourself.

Choose to be a positive thinker and you’ll start noticing that your attitude will become more positive as well.

  • Negativity

Take a look at your friends. Are they negative thinkers and talkers?

The more you are around negativity, the more it will rub off on you and you’ll start thinking that way, too.

Choose your friends wisely and hang around people who are positive and uplifting.

  • Habits

Remember that every habit requires 21 days to form.

So if you’re working on changing some negative thinking habits, allow yourself a full three weeks to start seeing some great changes.

Why do all of this because you are worth it !!!
