Children…

The wisdom of children.

Let me ask you as you work on your personal growth and self-improvement how often do you get in touch with your inner child?

Now why am I being asked this question you may well ask yourself.

Here’s the thing I recently came across that question during my readings and it highlighted to me how important it is to recognize the wisdom of children.

Children have a limited knowledge and experience, but clearer vision and lively curiosity. As our knowledge and experience grows does our vision and curiosity dim?

In the 19th century the Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen showed this with his story “The Emperor’s New Clothes” – the power of a clear vision and lots of curiosity.

It took a small boy to point out that the emperor’s famous and fine new suit was in fact made of nothing at all. The adults attending dared not say what was common sense and supported by what they could actually see.

So as your personal growth builds have you the courage and clarity to say “the King is in the all together” as the song based on this story goes.

I suggest that we all need to regularly touch base with our inner child so that we can keep our vision clear and our curiosity full of life.
