Money & Destructive Thinking

Are you one of those people who are against money and successful careers?

Hey it’s a common view that “money is the root of all evil” and
many Americans believe that the corporations and the government
are only out to exploit people for their own power and control.

My thoughts are that having a lot of money does not necessarily
mean you are evil person only out for your own power and control over others.

The Biblical quote often used to support the thought that money itself is evil actually reads like this “The love of money is the root of all evil.” – 29 (1 Timothy 6:10,

Many great people who have lots of money become philanthropists
and help to solve enormous problems all over the world.

I suggest to you that it is the attitude that we carry toward wealth and
power that creates the negative ideas that many people often think and speak of.

A number of religions and spiritual leaders promote the idea that you have to be poor and unemployed in order to be spiritual. What a crock this is a reverse sort of egotism and I suggest that this can lead to a type of thinking where people will frequently see themselves to be
‘better’ than the rich and successful simply because they don’t have any money or success themselves.

As time goes on, these less fortunate people become unhappy in their lives because the rewards and benefits they dreamed themselves that they would eventually get for their commitment to poverty has for some reason not materialized in the way they had hoped. They become furious at the world and everyone around them as if some
mysterious power had taken over their lives and caused them to fall into a terrible bad luck.

This problem only comes about because of people’s negative thinking.
They dream of a future when everything will fall apart for the rich and successful and they will get their just rewards. The future never arrives for them having lived a life of poverty and unemployment and they wonder “What went wrong?”
