Some Feng Shui for Your Work Area

Today I thought I should introduce a little difference into our area of personal growth and self improvement and talk about our work area/environment.

If you work at a desk, then you would like to create it as a work environment that is as ergonomic-friendly as possible. As a matter of fact, making a peaceful and harmonious work area may in reality cause you to be more productive. Thinking about that, try some of these suggestions to feng shui your desk and work area.

· Add a live, green plant. Earth is one of the five elements. Adding a nice leafy green plant will not only bring a bit of feng shui to your desk, but it will provide a flow of oxygen to your work area.

· Place a small waterfall on your desk. You can find a nice, small waterfall at many specialty or gift shops. The flow of water brings an increase of energy. Plus, the gentle sound of water will help you feel more relaxed and peaceful as you work.

· Clear the clutter. One of the best ways you can feng shui your desk is to simply keep it clutter-free. Make a big effort to keep your desk cleared every single day. A clean, organized desk will lead to a more productive work day.

· Place a positive, motivational quote on or near your desk. A very easy way to keep yourself in a positive frame of mind, or to stay motivated throughout the day, is to keep positive reinforcements around you at all times. Hang a framed quote on the wall, or set a series of positive quotes as the screen saver on your computer.

Love to hear your thoughts and views

Love the ideas, especially about the quotes on the desk
I really love these kind of things!
I was just at this site where they had all these motivational and inspirational refrigerator magnets and I got a bunch of them. They were really cool with funny original sayings like “obsession is not a hobby” (i got THAT one for sure hahaha) :)
…and things about love and friendship too.
I gave a lot of them to my friends and co-workers for christmas, they loved them:)

Anyway, thanks for sharing your ideas, I loved them!
