It’s Valentines day, a wonderful opportunity for us all to reconnect with Universal Laws.

Although some people consider Valentines Day too commercial, and I understand that, it is still an opportunity to remind ourselves of the importance of love in our lives. It is an opportunity to thank people and to rekindle our spirit of gratitude and generosity.

Valentines Day, for me, is a reminder of what is required everyday of my life in order to bring happiness to others. It is a day of priority, a day we become present with someone, a day of thankfulness, gratitude and appreciation. Valentines day is a day we turn down our phone, and turn up in love.

For me, the elements of Valentines Day are simply a reflection of the environment that surrounds me. I see and appreciate beauty, I see order in chaos, I see growth, I see nature letting go of the past and turning that into the fertilizer for the future. I see new growth, new opportunities and I see love.

In all of the hectic activity, schedules, and timetables isn’t it wonderful to have a day where you can reconnect to all that is beauty within and around you. The natural side, the side that doesn’t need to try, or seek or want. Simply the side of you that is thankful for the next breath, the rain, and the sun. Birth, life and death. It is all worthy of your heart.

On this day, we do not need to get caught in the commercialized world of expensive gifts. It is a day of remembrance, a day to remember how important love is, a day of thank you, of appreciation, of gratitude. There is no limit to the gratitude you can share and on this day, it’s a good reminder, to keep up the good work. Just thank you is the most beautiful gift you can share on this day.

Valentines Day is focussed on a few people in your life who have bought out the best in you. But there are others. Romance is not just a ritual for one, it is an attitude to all. Take the time to silently or publicly thank those around you who have made you who you are in the world. Thank every person of your past, and bring this energy, fresh life, clean spirit into your present and future. It is a time for letting go as well as holding on.
