Visualization and guided imagery is a skill that must be practiced and practiced to be mastered. A great place to start is to purchase a CD with spoken instructions on visualization. Shakti Gawain's Creative Visualization is a wonderful listening tool for the novice.
Also, examine what it is you wish to gain through visualization. For example, when I began using guided imagery and visualization, I thought that whatever I visualized would come to me and I would not have to put out any effort. I learned quickly I was wrong. Visualization simply helps you to create a pathway for yourself in your mind's eye.
Don't give up! It's worth the practice!

Yes, it does work, but it takes a very disciplined and focused mind to achieve this state. You see this a lot in professional athletes. For example, Tiger Woods visualizes every shot where he wants it to go. He stays in the state called"flow" where you are so focused on what you are doing at that very moment, that you are oblivious to everything else around you. You see this a lot in Olympic athletes also.

You can make it work for you, however it takes time, practice, and discipline every day to see results. You can also use the "as if" technique. Act as if you have a virtue and assume it. Act like you already have the confidence and necessary tools for the interview and you will suceed. Don't feel bad if it doesn't come right away. That's why only the top performers stay on top. They practice this every day to the point of near obsession.

I thing you are on the right track .keep visualising... and this time focus on what you really want and believe that the job you want you allready got it . It calls law of attraction , what ever you focus on ,and believe...you got it and visualisation part of the technique to make it happen. to me when i want the job i focus on the big picture and tell my self i allready got the job and it always work I ve been practising it for 3 years now , in the beginning i stressed out on trying to just ' believe 'in order to get what i want but now i change it , i say to my self . :I WANT THIS STUFF AND DOESN'T MATTER I BELIEVE IT OR NOT , IT WILL HAPPEN , and i just got it!
I suggest you to watch dvd called 'The Secret' , it talks about law of attraction ( you attract anything you focus on) and also talks about creative visualisation. One thing i want to say ....when you do visualisation , have fun ....,don't get stress ( when you stress or anxious its asign that you have fear it might not happen and thats exactly what you get). Have fun!

It can. You need to learn to relax first. Try breathing techniques and getting some meditation tapes. Yoga and martial arts help too.
