RELECTIONS ON MANIFESTING ABUNDANCE - 2
It is all within you
So much of the time, we expend energy in blaming outside forces for our situation, while not appreciating that we have the power change just about everything around us.
We are made of the same ’stuff’ as everything else: energy. If we align ourselves with the laws of the universe, we can attract whatever we desire into our lives - this is the Law of Attraction.
Be conscious about what you attract
The Law of Attraction doesn’t distinguish between things which to us may be ‘good’ or ‘bad’ - they are all the same.
If we continually worry about something, there is a good chance that you will bring it about. Worry about debt, and your financial situation will most likely worsen. Focus on the possibility of losing your job and the redundancy notice with your name on it may be not far away.
This may sound unfair, even cruel. But the universe doesn’t have the concept or fairness or unfairness - things just unfold according to natural laws which in themselves are neutral (how could they be anything else?).
The good news is that, as intelligent beings possessing free will, we are able to change the way we think and so bring out the results we desire. Notice that I did not say “Avoid the things we fear”, as this would again put the emphasis on what we don’t want.
Get the feeling
It is well known that thoughts lead to emotions which lead to actions (or inactions) - this is the basis of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a popular technique used counselors to help clients move from states such as depression to positive functioning.
It is also very helpful when used in conjunction with the Law of Attraction in that, if we create and hold a thought which is very positive and inspiring, not only will we feel better but the feeling will most likely propel us into action towards manifesting the thought.
As the action produces results, we get a good feeling about the progress we are making, and this encourages positive thoughts and further action in the direction we want to go. Thus a ‘virtuous cycle’ is set up, and further achievement becomes easier. Ultimately we may experience what is sometimes called ‘flow’, or being ‘in the zone’ - a truly enjoyable and effective state to be in!
It starts now
The first step in changing your life for the better is to accept that you are responsible for your present situation, in that you attracted it into your life.
This might sound harsh, but remember that the same natural laws which may have brought you what you don’t want can be harnessed to bring you whatever you desire. Now that you know the secret you are capable of changing how the rest of your life unfolds. By controlling your inner world (your thoughts) you are able to control your outer world.
Changing your reality
Much of our reality is the subject of our current thoughts - about how things are rather than how we would like them to be. If the current situation is unsatisfactory to us, then these thoughts tend to amplify the problems and keep us ’stuck’.
Through force of (sometimes reluctant) effort, we are able to change things but only slowly - and this increases our frustration.
Nothing seems to be changing, and so we find ourselves in the Current Reality Trap.
What we have been doing doesn’t seem to be working, so a change of attitude is called for.
First, have gratitude for what we do have: our family, health, home, family, a job (even if we don’t enjoy it) - these are things to be grateful for.
Second, understand the steps we can take to move in the direction we want to go in. This doesn’t mean believing that we will immediately have the home of our dreams or a million dollars in the bank - instead, it might mean putting money aside to be reduce debt and envisaging when it will be paid off.
Third, start to believe that the things we desire are achievable, and are coming closer every day. When we feel confident with this, we can place target dates or dollar amounts on our aspirations which will make the targets more real and so lead to action to achieve them.
As changes start to take place inside us, so the outside world will start to change so that we are aligned with it - what may seem like coincidences are in fact synchronicity, as things start to fall into place.

Part 3 of this series will deal with goal setting, which is a key part of achieving your desires.

Hi!
This is a really impressive site!
I certainly thin you are onto something with the “Science of Getting Rich†program and the Attraction Accelerator from Stephen Pierce!
I studied NLP ( a branch of Psychology) last year and achieved a Diploma and Certified Master Practitioner Status…..I’m not ‘guru’ but I guess I know what I’m talking about when it comes to the Power of the mind. When the Movie “The Secret” came out, I could not believe how similar the ‘Law of Attraction’ is to one of the basic NLP tenets “Think - Do - Get”.
I was actually expecting a whole lot more publicity around NLP and The Law OF Attraction than there has been, but I think your site is fantastic!
All the Best!

I so resonate with what you are saying, I am reading a book at the moment that explains this principle of not blaming others and looking at ourselves so powerfully well, if you are interested, and have not read it, it is “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz.
Enjoy!
